Abstract
In the literatual study on stroke related with smoking, the results are as follows.
1. Tobacco¢¥s properties and flavours is spicy(ãô), warm(è¯), toxy(êóÔ¸), dynamic and is subordinate to drugs that is preponderant pure Yang(âíåÕ).
2. Secondary effects of smoking are injury of internal organs(Slfll) caused by pathogenic fire, turbidity of lung and stomach caused by acculmulated toxin of smoke(æÓÔ¸), and are necrosis of brain cell, high blood pressure, contraction of blood vessel, thrombogenesis, arteriolsclerosis etc. in the view of western medicine.
3. High blood pressure and tachycardia in a while smoking is correspond to the conditions of excubrant heat(æðá¡) before stroke(ñéù¦,) in oriental medicine.
4. Smoking aggrevates hypertention, arteriosclerosis, alcholism, diabets mellitus etc., known as causes of stroke and is related with pathological progress of phlegm and stroke in oriental medicine.
